   100 hours a week. Now that’s insane. Be careful of the burnout. I’ve gotten to that point before and I just shut down. One thing that has helped me is making a list every morning of the tasks that I have for the day, and then checking them off as I complete them. For some reason I get done much quicker. Good luck.

   I ran into the same problem as a blogger. I posted every day for a month and then missed a day, and never went back. Curse inconsistency! Hope you keep it up though, you’ve got some interesting stuff here.

   It’s amazing how many (more) hours you can work when you are working on your own project or business! I could never work 100 hours at a job, but I could easily work 100 hours on my own projects!

   I find that you can always find a reason not to do things. Put it off until tomorrow. If it’s still important, you’ll eventually do it. If not, you’ll have more free time. I’ve been much happier since I’ve become much ‘lazier’.

   Ouch. 100 hours a week is long. I have done only a couple of weeks of that much work in my life. I usually do 40 hours a week on my internet sites. But thats a fair enough reason for not writing enough though.

    100 hour weeks are okay if you can handle the lack of sleep. Frankly typing for me requires 7-8 hrs. a day of sleep or my hands/arms tingle and are sore. Save that money and take some time off.

    Yeah I have a lot going on right now with my business and several deadlines to meet. But a 100 hour work week is a lot. You really have to take some time off to relax, I to fear that you will eventually burn out and crash. I pray you get some relaxation time. We all need a minute away from all the activity just to kick our feet up!

    Working 100 hour weeks can only go on for so long for me too. As far as the money end their is a big difference between hours spent on a job and “billable Hours” as you well know. I’m trying to get the two as close as possible but many times this is quite impossible. It helps to keep trying, though.

    I too work long hours,at many different jobs and projects.
    I will share what I’ve learned with you.
    Though I’ve found a lot of work is still required,I break down my days into smaller segments, and organize by hours.
    so many hours for computer work, so many hours for phone calls, so much time for business meetings,so much time for mail outs,so much time for errands (these are done in a circle that ends me up back at my office).
    I also budget in time for my family, and social time with friends.
    The last thing is, I duplicate my efforts by (instead of having employees) I allow people to create their own mini company within my organization.
    This allows them to be paid much more than fairly and promotes a good moral within my company, while their efforts still make me money.
    As previously mentioned, I still work long hours (I’ve been able to cut back to around 10-11 hours per day)
    and my life has improved dramatically!
    holding up for 100 hours is extremely difficult!

    You need a massage! I admire you if you don’t go crazy with out any kind of organization going on. I mean, I’m pretty friggin’ busy, and my apartment isn’t the MOST tidy place, but I gotta KIT somehow!

    100 hrs a week! life is too short my friend, get out of the office and enjoy life a bit before it passes you by! But i do understand that workaholic mode that is so easy to get into. I have to work hard not to get carried away with projects or else i would be working 100hr weeks too. Keep your health high up on that list, afterall without health sucess means nothing.

    Just like the other posters said, working that many hours a week can cause health problems over time. Even though i probably work that amount of hours sometimes myself. For some people, it can’t be helped.

    I have had to work 100 hour weeks before…luckily, I didn’t have to worry about taking care of my family. Now that I have kids, I can’t even imagine working 100 hour weeks.

    I quite my 40 hour job to be a full time Blogger and now only put in about 80 hours per week. Go figure.

    Well you did say you’re not efficiently spending your time - I’d say anyone working 100 hours a week isn’t putting in 100 hours of productive work a week - you just can’t do it. I’d say about 40-50 hours of that 100 is productive - the rest you’re tired, can’t concentrate, bored, etc. Use that time resting, or even go down to 80 hours a week if you must and use that extra 20 keeping happy and healthy.

    100 hours leaves 68 hours for eating, sleeping, having fun. Err, that’s less than 10 hours a day. If you sleep 8 hours a day, that leaves less than 2 hours per day to do EVERYTHING ELSE APART FROM WORKING AND SLEEPING.

    At which point you need to ask yourself: what is life about?
