Pains About Stats

I’ve told you some time ago about Google Analytics problem. In the end, I’ve set everything up, so now I’m gathering stats using three programs - AwStats, Google Analytics and Performancing Metrics.

I’m satisfied most with AwStats. Problem isn’t in numbers of lack of them, but in consistency. If AwStats track some behavior as visit, they track it that way, and if they don’t, they don’t.

Other two can’t be called as consistent.

Because I don’t know about other users’ behavior anything other than what my stats are showing, all tests are done using my behavior as a sample.

AwStats accurately tracks my visits, pages I visited (no, I don’t read my own blog. I did that just for the sake of experiment), when and how it occured.

Google Analytics simply misses my visit.. Then shows it one day later, missing referral stats etc altogether.

PMetrics is no better.

Ahem, if you know of better solution, tell me.

As for now, I’m still content with AwStats.
