An Excellent Linkbuilding Resource

An interesting trait of my readers is that most of them come here to comment (to get dofollow linkage), and I tend to keep those comments (apart from some springcleaning).

Since you’re so keen on building links, it would be a shame not to share an excellent directory marketing resource my big friend Irishwonder just recently released.

only problem with directory link building is that every worthwhile one wants money for submissions, are nofollow, or like ODP are never updated.

Actually…I do have something to say. I am currently going through submitting to directories myself and I find that the problem with these big lists is they quickly go out of date and I find there are a lot of dead links in them and the info is incorrect. It’s hard to find a decent list of directories on the net that is actually kept up to date…well there’s a market??

It’s true that do follow blogs get more traffic. My boss is an SEO guy who is now installing the do follow plugin on every blog he runs. Requires a little more moderation than no follow, but as long as people are making relevent and unspammy comments it is good.

Do-follow directories are not dead yet and with a little bit of diligence it can bring good results. As i found out myself, link building is a sum of factors and different resources; only sending to directories will not help very much. Good luck!

Like others have commented, it seems that as soon as one list is published things change. Either the bloggers turn the links to nofollow or they simply stop accepting comments.

But given your 4000 resources, I trust it will take some time before that list is exhausted.

Actually I do have something to say. I am currently going through submitting to directories myself and I find that the problem with these big lists is they quickly go out of date and I find there are a lot of dead links in them and the info is incorrect. It’s hard to find a decent list of directories on the net that is actually kept up to date…well there’s a market?
